Beyond The Midnight Sun

Beyond The Midnight Sun

There are strange things done in the midnight sun
By the men who moil for gold;
The Arctic trails have their secret tales
That would make your blood run cold;’

Robert Service, excerpt from The Cremation of Sam McGee, 1907

Nicole, a transient traveler, with little more than the clothes on her back, starts a new life in the North. After meeting Ray, a long-term resident, their relationship quickly evolves. When a local man is reported missing, his vehicle found mangled and empty, rumors begin to circulate through the town. As answers to the mysterious disappearance drift further away, the relationship between Ray and Nicole graduates, taking a more serious tone: inseparable.

Julie, James and Alley, a loving family of three, are fresh arrivals to the small northern town. Together they adapt to their new lives and their new home. When Alley struggles to fit in with the neighboring kids, a potential solution is presented. A solution to pull the family together, or perhaps, part of the puzzle that inevitably pushes them tragically apart.

Among the many questions unanswered, one in particular is blaring: does this correlated companion, this curious counterpart, accompany the unexplainable mysteries that remain?
