My goal when writing this was to try and detach you from the illusion that Hollywood portrays in its movies, and tell you real stories about gambling and working in a casino. I did this because I heard too many times over the years that people will never get it unless they were working in a casino. I have wanted to tell my stories about gambling and my life as a casino dealer for many years, and never thought I could, or that I would, until coronavirus hit. I had all the time in the world now. I could no longer say I did not have the time to accomplish this.

This book is filled with stories of what I have experienced, along with me breaking down player and dealer stereotypes I have learned as a casino dealer. I talk about the games I have dealt and how horrible management is. I hope this book and stories about gambling I tell with shock you and make you laugh.

Most importantly, I hope it inspires you to reach for the stars and do something that you think you could never do. By the end of it all, you will stink like smoke and your sanity will be gone! I hope you all enjoy my stories about gambling as much I enjoyed writing them!

Young People Are Awesome

My son had just turned 13 and he came to me asking for money for a video game as is the normal procedure.  This time however after he asked he turned around and said, "You know it would be nice if I could make my own money and not have to ask you for money". Then I saw the pure brilliance of my son.  He said, "I could promote books like you do, only I will be better at it!.  I love his confidence.  So after several attempts by me to tell him all the difficulty and hours I spend helping authors, he was not swayed and asked me for help starting up.

We spent an entire weekend create and refining his book blog and strategies for helping authors.  When it came time to discuss the money, my son again surprised me and beat me to the punch.  He said, "You know Dad, I should some of all I earn back for my education, instead of blowing all this money."  At that point we switch to creating a business plan.  A business plan with my 13 year old son, it was beautiful.

His blog is now live and he is focusing on Children's Books and Young Adult Titles.  He still think the romance books are a little yucky.  I know that will change soon, and we didn't even talk about horror, science fiction or erotica for goodness sake.  His work ethic surprised me and I haven't seen him this focused since that last time I watched him play a video game.

This is not the time to be passive when lives are literally being snatched away in the black community daily. Someone has to tell it like it is and I believe I was chosen to be that voice. To hear most scholars tell it black people weren't even significant in the Bible outside of being slaves in there too. And people wonder why some black people are not open to hearing the "Good News". To me the answer is simple if you can't relate, you can't participate. In addition to exposing some uncomfortable truths this book is filled with solutions. I've included tips, tricks and techniques to help you eliminate self defeating thoughts that hinder your progress.
